    "First Flight"

Jason Byrd was featured on The WSVNRadio Hall of Fame, Volume 18. His song, "Sleeping Beauty" was the song from this volume, and from his First Flight CD. In one word to describe Jason Byrd is EXCELLENT. His music easily fits today's country. In the vein of Tim McGraw, and other popular Country artists like him, Jason Byrd's First Flight is a CD worth listening to, again and again.

The upbeat "Faster Than The Speed Of Love" could easily get the fingers and feet tapping. "On A Ring And A Prayer" is another good tune, in a medium-paced tempo, and "Sleeping Beauty" is more of a perfect ballad. "Let's Make Good Use Of This Moonlight" is another slow-tempo song, and like the others, another good sounding Country tune. "Let Go" is another great ballad, and can easily be a popular radio favorite. "Fallin' In And Crawlin' Out Of Love" has the upbeat honkytonk style.

Now known as Jason Coley, this young 20-year old Country singer should be auditioning on Nashville Star or even American Idol. His songs are well-written, and his voice can easily be favored by many Country fans. Being compared to the likes of Tim McGraw is a big achievement. WSVNRadio is glad to have Jason on our Hall of Fame volumes, and if we decide to present a second all-Country CD, Jason Byrd Coley would definitely be one of the 20 artists. My only complaint is I wished there were more than just six songs on this release. That's not really a complaint, it's just the fact that Jason Byrd is a very good Country singer, and wish to hear more of his music.
