    "Greatest Hits"

Considered "Volume One" of their Greatest Hits, this first volume is a small collection (10 songs) of tracks/hits from their early career. Of the 10 tracks, 3 were #1 Country songs: "I'll Be True To You," "Trying To Love Two Women," and "Louisiana In The Broad Daylight."

As for the remaining seven tracks, many of them are songs that I really didn't remember. (By the 1980s and 1990s, I really didn't follow Country music as thoroughly as Rock music.) "Come On In" probably is the one song that I kind of vauguely remember... "You're The One," "Cryin' Again," "Dream On," "Heart Of Mine," "Sail Away," and "Y'all Come Back Saloon" (what a great song title!) are all very good songs, just that these songs are those I didn't remember.

Their second volume of hits would include songs most remembered, such as "Elvira" and "Bobbie Sue." This volume would also include their #1 hits; likewise the #1 hits found on their third volume.

The Oak Ridge Boys' Country music is extremely exceptional. The Gospel influences are also worth looking into. The Oak Ridge Boys released The Oak Ridge Boys: A Gospel Journey from the (Bill) Gaither Music Series in 2009. All in all, their music is greatly appreciated. Some of the songs from Greatest Hits you can easily hear the gospel style. The Oak Ridge Boys are County (and Gospel) Legends, and their Greatest Hits series is their story.
