"The Dark Side Of The Moon"

Joe Berry is a member of the WSVNRadio Hall of Fame -- He appeared on our Volume 6 compilation, with his song"Like A Bad Penny."

The Dark Side Of The Moon by Joe Berry is from KMA Records, an independent record company, focusing on Country talent. Joe Berry's music is definitely Country sounding, with a laid back style. Does it fit with today's Country? Not necessarily, as it reflects on the older Country, say, the 1980s.

The title track is laid back, pleasant, and not bad for the most part. Yet being Country, most of the songs are a hit or miss: "I Must Be Talking To Myself," "Your Memory Keeps Fanning The Flame," "Like A Bad Penny," "Way Ahead Of You," "You Don't Love Me Like You Use Too," "Just By Chance."

Then there are songs that can easily "grow on you" -- where at first listen, these songs are actually quite well: "Don't Wake Me," "I'll Spend All My Time," "God Bless America Again."

Joe Berry's The Dark Side Of The Moon is basically old-fashioned Country. It can fit most of today's (or preferably older) Country formats. As of this date, he has released a total of six albums. They can be found here.

WSVNRadio has promoted various Country artists from the KMA Records label. Darren Rhodes is one of them, and there will be more as our Album Pick of the Week. Traditional old-fashioned Country, and Country music in general, Joe Berry will grow on you, as you listen to The Dark Side Of The Moon. Yes, some songs are better than others here, just as any other album by any artist. No dark sides found here though, just basic Country-sounding tunes.
