    "You'll Never Walk Alone"

Elvis may have been King of Rock & Roll, but his roots were in Gospel music. There is no doubt, Elvis recorded incredible recordings in this style. His 1971 album You'll Never Walk Alone comprised of earlier Gospel recordings dating back as 1957. The title track was a minor hit in 1960. Two songs were previously unreleased, "Let Us Pray" from his movie Change Of Habit, and "Who Am I," a song that was a leftover from the early sessions of his album From Elvis In Memphis. In tracking the remaining songs, there was one I could not locate from a previous (original) release: "We Call On Him." This song was a bonus track on the reissued of How Great Thou Art.

One of Elvis' most popular album was Elvis' Christmas Album. Not only did it contain Christmas songs, it also featured Gospel. Tracks include "(There'll Be) Peace In The Valley," "I Believe," "It Is No Secret (What God Can Do)" and "Take My Hand Precious Lord." As for the remaining tracks from You'll Never Walk Alone, they were taken from Elvis' gospel albums How Great Thou Art [(There'll Be) Peace In The Valley], His Hand In Mine], and one song from his movie Easy Come, Easy Go ["Sing You Children."

You'll Never Walk Alone is a good album, it features Elvis' mellow tunes, such as the title track, "Who Am I," "We Call On Him," and "It's No Secret (What God Can Do)." The "rocking" tunes here are "Let Us Pray," and "Sing You Children." But the best tracks here are "(There'll Be) Peace In The Valley," "I Believe," and " Take My Hand Precious Lord."

A good album, yet there are other gospel albums/collections better, this one is another good Elvis (gospel) album to enjoy.
