    "Passion: White Flag"

Chrisian music's Passion: White Flag was recorded live at Passion 2012 with more than 42,000 university-aged students in Atlanta, Georgia. Christian artists from the sixstepsrecords label were featured: Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Charlie Hall, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, and Kristian Stanfill. The name Passion is not the name for all of these artists, as in a "supergroup"; it is named after the Christian concert events.

Christian music is simply powerful music. The inspiration of our Lord, Jesus Christ indicates the power of Him, and how His energy and positive lyrics help in our day-to-day life. There is much power in each track on this Passion album. Passion is a concert event. Each of the artists involved have achieved Christian music popularity. More importantly at that, #1 albums: Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Matt Redman. Charlie Hall, Christy Nockels and Kristian Stanfill have yet to have the #1 spot, but they are joined by Christian music's greatest and popular artists to create incredible music together.

The album starts out with more of a Rock track, Kristian Stanfill's "Not Ashamed." This is a great and powerful Rock track. (Maybe if more of this kind of song would inspire more listeners to tune in to Christian music?)

The rest of the album highlights what we all know (and love) of how Christian music sounds like, and relates to us. (All in a positive way, of course.) "White Flag" by Chris Tomin was the lead single, and truly one of the best tracks on the album to listen to. Basically all the tracks are powerful, as in Chris Tomlin and Christy Nockels' "Jesus, Son Of God." Another key word in Christian music, not only powerful, but spiritual. Spiritual and moving gets Christy Nockels' instrumental with choir "How I Love You." More on the Christian Rock with David Crowder*Band's All This Glory." Another good Christian artist/band. Not only are David Crowder and Chris Tomlin great Christian artists, another one to add is Matt Redman. He and Chris Tomlin's "Lay Me Down" is another Christian Rock gem.

Christy Nockels returns with a beautiful ballad, "You Revive Me." Another moving ballad, that gradually builds into another great Christian song is Kristian Stanfill's "One Thing Remains." More of Chris Tomlin's music, is the moving "Yahweh." "Sing Along" with Christy Nockels is a nice track, and Chris Tomlin's "The Only One" is catchy!

Charlie Hall experiences World music, with "Mystery," as it is a very inspired and one song that will get repeated listens. Matt Redman's "10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)" reached #1, on the Christian Songs chart, likewise the album reached the top spot on the Christian Albums chart as well. Ending the album with it's powerful sound and Christian message, is "No Turning Back."

Christian music is as its best with Passion's Passion: White Flag." Powerful Christian music, inspirational Christian lyric messages. My question is why isn't Christian music just as popular as other well-known music styles? Is it because most "other well-known music styles" lyrics are negative? violent? Maybe so, but if the true music fan seriously looks into how powerful and positive the lyrics in Christian music really are, they can see how this music can inspire them, and put aside the negativity in music, and in life in general. And the other key thing to mention, is that all the positive and inpiration is based on Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
