From the rapper Eminem world -- D12 -- the rap group, led by Eminem, releasead two albums: Devil's Night (2001), and D12 World (2004). Both albums reached #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 Album chart. They only released two albums, as the death of member Proof in 2006 (he was shot, during a dispute at the CCC Club on 8 Mile Road in Detroit). This made the group less productive, as they disbanded. Eminem himself has yet to appear on the WSVNRadio website for review, however, the 8 Mile soundtrack has been reviewed, and this week, D12's final album D12 World gets it's review.

"Git Up" is actually not a bad rap song, yet the 8 Mile soundtrack could have had the next track, "Loyalty" (featuring Obie Trice) on it. Next. Next on "Just Like U" (the language!) "I'll Be Damned" the title says it, it's another damned rap track. Next. "My Band" (1 of 2 hit singles) has a good beat, and can be added to the "good tracks" - "Git Up" and "My Band" ... so far. "U R The One" has the typical "rap groove," and it's just another typical rap-sounding track. Next? Maybe? The continuous of "What?" does get a bit annoying. (Insert Stone Cold Steve Austin's "What?'s" here.) "6 In The Morning" - I do remember hearing this song getting some attention. It's Eminem, and another song that could have been part of 8 Mile. The second hit single, "How Come" is another rough rap track. Next. "My Band" is much better than this one. "Leave Dat Boy Alone" - yep, leave it, alone, next. "Get My Gun" is another "next," another rough one (on the ears). "Bitch" definitely has the Eminem touch, maybe even the 50 Cent "Candy Shop" sound. Give some credit on the humorous "Steve's Coffee House." It's quite funny, and it's NOT Rap. "D-12 World" returns back to the Rap groove, and "40 Oz." is another rough-in-your-face track. Quite disturbing, honestly. "American Psycho II" (featuring B-Real); (the title I want to refer to the second movie to American Psycho, starring Christian Bale. Mila Nuis of That '70s Show was in the second movie; a female version of the original movie.) The language to the D12 track is blunt, crazy - just as the America Psycho is. Next on "Good Die Young"; another typical Rap track. Maybe good for some, but for others, not so good. "Keep Talkin'" is a bonus track (imagine that), LANGUGE!

D12's D12 World is Rap. Rap World. It's not for everyone. But, (like their debut album), both albums have made history - they were both #1 albums. By the 21st Century (2004 being the year of release of D12 World Rap music has made it's mark as being "popular" in the music culture. Whether you like Rap or not, it has been dominating throughout the years, even today. It has made it's own mark in today's music culture. D12 World has a few moments, but overall, it's just another common Rap album. And it has Eminem, a white rapper who has made his own mark in Rap/Hip-Hop music. Eminem is one of many, who broke open Rap into a new musical direction and dimension. It's Eminem that made D12. Most likely, without him, D12 probably wouldn't have made it big as they became. Or would they? "Git Up" and "My Band" are the standouts here, in my opinion. D12 world can be a hit, or miss, to others.
