The CD you are about to listen to contains parodies that feature foul language, adult content, satanic imagrery and depictions of sexuality deviant fantasies that may offend the religious right, the unreligious left, fat girls, skinny girls, metrosexuals, animal lovers, animal haters, hippies, skinheads, the current presidential administration and people with ears. The record label and its parent companies do not endorse or support the opinions of Steel Panther. They just think they f--cking rock.

Welcome... to the debut of... Steel Panther -- Feel The Steel ...

As WSVNRadio endores it's slogan, "Everything in Music" -- there's good music, bad music, and eveything in between. Steel Panther is no exception. They are a heavy metal "parody" band. Just as saying that the 2 Live Crew is a "parody" rap group. (Really? Is that mentioned anywhere?") Steel Panther caught my attention from an internet DJ I was tuning in to, and since the Heavy Metal music (especially of the '80s, and '80s hair bands, etc.) has been an interest -- yes, there are some great '80s metal bands out there. PUtting aside the lyrical content of this band, you have to admit, the music itself is quite good. They're compared to other popular bands, such as Poison and Kiss (visually, minus the makeup Steel Panther does not have), and even Bon Jovi (musically).

Again, the lyrics are what makes Steel Panther. The lyrics are included on the CD package. And quite honestly, the lyrics should be included on all albums, in my opinion. Admittingly, some of the lyrics are hard to interpret, with the appropriate singing styles, especially of Metal and Rap.

Steel Panther did provide two hits from Feel The Steel. Yes, there are very few stations (most likely, internet ones nowadays) that can actually air these types of songs. Those two hits were the rocking "Death To All But Metal" and the Bon Jovi'ish ballad sounding "Community Property." "Death To All But Metal" slams such artists as the Goo Goo Dolls, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Papa Roach, Blink 182, Britney Spears, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, 50 Cent, Kanye West. However, they do ask the question, "where is Def Leppard, and Motley Crue?" In conclusion, Steel Panther abides by the heavy metal bands of the Rock era, most appropriately, the '80s. It would make sense. Their musical style (aside from the harsh lyrics) matches the '80s Hair bands, likewise their looks.

"Asian Hooker" has the Asian girl in mind, with its speed metal style. "Community Property" has the Bon Jovi'ish ballad sound, yet it's chorus I can't help but "hear" Poison's "Pour Some Sugar On Me." The metal'ish "Eyes Of A Panther" encorporates the woman as "the panther" -- with it's "paws and claws, and teeth" -- ready to go. But then there's the song about fat girls on "Fat Girl (Thar She Blows)." With all the other tunes referencing hot sex, it's not really said, whether the "chicks" are either skinny nor proportioned. "Fat Girl" is more specific, obviously, where it shows that any guy will have sex with any kind of woman, if given the chance.

"Eatin' Ain't Cheatin'" is not about eating food, it's eating something else, with a particular part of a woman's body part. Uh huh, THAT. This song's musical style sounds like the later years of Kiss. "Party All Day (____ All Night)" -- Yes, it's the "F word" ... with it's Poison'ish sound, and party lyrics. More on sex with "Turn Out The Lights" where, before it all begins, turn out the lights... (Have to admit, lead singer Michael Starr's voice does sound like Van Halen's David Lee Roth. Likewise, his looks too.)

"Stripper Girl" is the dancer, of course, more sex. "The Shocker" has the line "two in the pink, one in the stink" Any (sexual) ideas? Uh huh. I think you pretty much know now, how Steel Panther's lyrics are... And lastly, the Bon Jovi'ish ballad "Girl From Oklahoma" gets the girl for the backstage pass, and what goes on back there??

The lyrics are what makes Steel Panther -- Sex, sEx, seX.... Aside from that, the heavy metal music is appropriate. Each band member has their own sex-related bio. [CAUTION: If you're offended by this kind of sexual and/or drug "talk" go here

Michael Starr, Lead Vocal: I started singing in kindegarten doing school plays. I also sang to my baby sitter so she would hug me and I could be next to her b**bs. As a freshman I moved to L.A. with my mom cause she met this guy who sold drugs and produced a TV show in Hollywood. I started my first band called "Free Beer." I had to change the name cause people always wanted to drink our beer that we had and that sucked. So I changed the name to "Black Panther," cause chicks dig cats and black cars. We played keg parties and school talent shows. We came in 10th place in the talent show and that's when the chicks started coming. Anyway, the keg parties were way cooler cause we got free beer all the time and we could get high on stage, plus we could steal food from the house we played and sleep there too (with chicks of course).

Lexxi Foxxx, Bass: I'm Lexxi Foxxx. The extra "X" is for extra SEX! I like my name because Lexxi rhymes with sexy. And Foxxx rhymes with b*x, which is another name for a V*g*na. V*g*nas are cool becuase me and the guys stick our p*n*ses in them all the time. Michael says that is you put your p*n*s in dirty v*g*na, you can catch an SUV like herpes or The Clap. That one makes it burn when you pee. That can also happen when you masturbate with soap and it gets in your p*n*s hole.

Satchel, Guitar: I was raised in the entertainment business. My mom was a waitress at one of the first Chuck E. Cheese's to be built in Fresno, California, and my dad auditioned for the Gong Show twice. Also, my grandma is from Switzerland, and apparently there is quite a long line of yodelers on her side of the family. I think yodeling is for d*cks, but with all the talent in my family, it's really not surprising that I'm a shredding guitarist.

Stix Zadina, Drums: Some drummers hit. Some drummers tap. When it comes to drums and hash pipes, nobody hits that sh*t harder than me. The only tapping I'm doing is when I'm tapping some dirty bitch's *ss in the dressing room. I was raised in Jersey by my grandmother. She lived through the great depression. It must've really left an impression on her, cause growing up she never let me leave the dinner table without finishing every scrap of food on my plate. It was always high carb stuff, too. This led to me being moridly obese by the third grade. I once missed the opportunity to audition for Bon Jovi by being over the weight limit by 230 plus lbs.

Remember, Steel Panther is a PARODY band, as they pay homage to Heavy Metal Rock. Sure, this is a band you won't hear on the radio. Internet Radio, yes, Underground Radio, yes. Podcast Radio, yes, if it's allowed. Steel Panther is not meant for everyone, of course. But if you can take this particular kind of humor, and not be offended by it, then for those Heavy Metal fans, the music style alone is what most will enjoy. Remember, they are a parody band. You can say the same for the 2 Live Crew. There are other bands and artists out there, with their "different lyrics." Steel Panther is one of them. Then there's another band we will cover later... Anyone hear of Nashville Pussy?
