Rend Collective is a Christian folk rock worship band from Ireland. They have a total of three #1 Christian albums, from Billboard's Christian Albums chart. Good News was the band's third #1 Christian album, for one week, in 2018. Since their start in 2010, they have released 13 albums, including multiple Christmas albums.

The lyrics to all the songs are included in the CD booklet. And, in all Christian music lyrics, it shows absolute POSITIVE words. "Life Is Beautiful" has great positive lyrics - "Rejoice, rejoice/In the sunshine, in the sorrow/ Oh, my soul rejoice." A powerful song in sound. "I Will Be Undignified" has "I will be undignified/And I will praise the Lord my God/With all my might/And I will leave my pride behind/And I will praise the Lord my God/With all my life." How powerful is that? Like "Life Is Beautiful," another powerful song in sound. The spirit of a song sung in church has "Rescuer (Good News)" and how our Lord can be your Rescuer: "He's our Rescuer/He's our Rescuer/ We are free from sin forevermore/Oh, how sweet the sound/Oh, how grace abounds/We will praise the Lord, our Rescuer." "Counting Every Blessing" and "Nailed To The Cross" are two Beautiful Christian songs. "Hymn Of The Ages" slows the pace more down (in a good way), and is also another exceptional Christian song. "True North" could possibly pass as "Today's Country" in a way, yet it also sounds Christian, fitting the Christian formats more than Country would.

Definitely the Christian sound gets "Resurrection Day," with it's title and sound - another great powerful Christian song. "No Outsiders" has a great gentle Christian sound, and proceeds into another powerful Christian song in sound. "Weep With Me" is a very gentle tune, peaceful, beautiful. It's followed by the song's own (short) "Weep With Me (Reprise)." "Marching On" continues the great and powerful Christian Rock sound. "Yahweh" (the name of the state god of the ancient kingdoms of Israel and Judah, often represented by the Tetragrammaton YHWH. It's considered a personal name for God in the Bible and is interpreted in various ways, including "I AM" or "He Who Makes That Which Has Been Made." The name's meaning and pronunciation are debated, but Yahweh is a common rendering.) Rend Collective's "Yahweh" has the common great Christian feel, in lyrics, and in sound. "Counting Every Blessing (Ukelele Session)" has a great happy sound, as the original version heard earlier is equally powerful. Ending the album is another great powerful song, "Christ Lives In Me."

As many Christian Rock bands, Rend Collective provides positive, powerful Christian tracks on Good News. SO it is "Good News" that this no doubt a very enjoyable Christian Rock album to listen to. Positive lyrics, powerful music. Good News by Rend Collective is an enjoyable album to keep the positive vibes up. Christian music is just that - positive and powerful. We all need that in our musical endeavors. Give it a listen. You'll feel high-energized, and good feelings throughout.
