From The WSVNRadio Hall of Fame... Well, almost...

In September 2019, I was looking for more Christian artists to be included for The WSVNRadio Hall Of Fame, Volume 24 JD Allen sent me his CD, Heaven Is My Home. I sent an email to him, inviting him to see if he would be interested in participating on Volume 24. He responded back, and his response was: "Please you should paying me to play my music you and the getapo ex-Vice president Gore (whose name fits him has allowed you sell and support your website as artist and writers at their expense. Get ready for the collapse of your intellectual theft. Play it because it's good. Eric don't be deceived a recogniting is coming."

For independent music artists and bands, the goal is to make money from their music. Of course, it would be great if I were to be paid for all the work involved in my internet radio station and website, WSVNRadio.net. As much as I enjoy working on my site, I'm sure many of the independent artists and band enjoy creating and promoting their own music as well. I do like when the artists I try to promote for the WSVNRadio Hall of Fame series respond back to me, whether it be a yay or nay to be included on the current volume. Although JD Allen did not participate, as I was listening to his album back then, my email to him included that I was enjoying his CD. And now, in 2025, JD Allen's Heaven Is My Home gets the album review this week.

JD Allen is a Christian artist, and as I mentioned many times, Christian music is a genre that everyone should discover and enjoy. And JD Allen's Christian music is very enjoyable. He makes "Glory To God In The Highest" his own: A great styled tune, with it's feel and lyrics. That great feeling of music continues on "Follow Me." "Let Me Glorify Your Name" is simply, great... With it's old-fashioned Christian/Gospel style. Allen's vocals and his background singers makes this song Gold. The vocals/harmonies has a Ricky Skaggs feel to it.

"Jacob And Jonah" is another good tune, as it kicks into a more Rock approach on it's chorus'es. Quite different in sound than the previous songs heard, yet it all works. It's more of a Christian Rock styled track. Joleen Billingham is the lead vocalist on the next track "Gomer's Prayer," and it's a beautiful song, from start to finish (?) My only complaint, the song cuts out at the end, and you're thinking there's more. But it's a good song, regardless. "Hosea's Love Song" sounds very honest and calm. Throughout the album, Country music is a definite comparison, as "Who Can This Be" easily fits the Country genre. It's another great song. Country/Rock gets "How Great Is My God," another great sounding tune. The title track "Heaven Is My Home" is another great Country-ish tune. Ending the album, is the beautiful "The Disciples' Prayer," with JD's great vocals and background vocals.

As I mentioned in my email invite, "I am enjoying your CD, Heaven Is My Home! However, getting JD Allen's music on The WSVNRadio Hall Of Fame Volume 24 didn't happen. He was right about "Play it because it's good." It is good; it is great. Thank you for your honest response, and for sending us your music. Heaven Is My Home is a great album, and although the Hall of Fame didn't include him, his album is now part of the WSVNRadio website, in our reviews. Thanks again, JD Allen for your music, and hoping that everything is going well for you.
