Rihanna marks her debut on the WSVNRadio website, with the fifth studio album of her career - Loud (2010). 11 songs, of which 7 were singles, and of those seven, three were #1 hits (Billboard's Hot 100. Rihanna has been one of the popular female singers in recent decades.

"S&M" leads off the album, and it was one of the three #1 hits (1 week). It has a good beat, and honestly, this sound is not bad. More songs should sound like this in today's hip-hop/R&B music. However, the lyrics to this song is suggestive and sexual, where critics' reviews of this song were mixed. Despite that, it is a stand-out tune. "What's My Name" (one of the three #1's) is another good sounding tune, as rapper Drake helps out. Drake doesn't sing, he's just talkin' and rappin'. Other than that, this song is quite good, on Rihanna's part. "Cheers (Drink To That)" (one of the seven singles) isn't as good as the previous songs, yet it isn't bad either. It just maybe one of the songs on the bottom of the list of songs on the album. "Fading" is better than "Cheers," and it's another good track, and could have been another single.

"Only Girl (In The World)" (one of the three #1's) is just as energetic as "S&M," and joins the other tracks (minus "Cheers") to the list of "really good songs" from the album. "California King Bed" is a slower-paced song, and it fits very well. (Maybe, this song could pass on today's Country format, with it's more of a Pop style sound, which Country has included in "Today's County." Maybe I'm wrong, but, it is a very good track to listen to. I can hear Carrie Underwood singing this song.) "Man Down" (another of the seven singles) returns back to the hip-hop/R&B, and it can join "Cheers." There are other songs better than this one, even "Cheers" is better than this one. Her Carribean vocal is a bit distracting, her natural voice heard on other songs sound so much better. "Raining Men" (with Nicki Minaj; another of the seven singles), gets added to the "Cheers" and "Man Down" list. It has that Caribbean-style, and like "Man Down" it gets on your nerves a bit. Pass.

"Complicated" is definitely a good track. It sure shows Rihanna's quality in her singing voice. Keep this voice, skip the Caribbean. "Skin" has a mystery about it, and this song is quite good as well. It also has very good guitar solo towards the end of the song. "Love The Way You Lie (Part II)" (with Eminem) ends the album, and it's almost as good as Part I, which was a #1 hit for Rihanna and Eminem. (Part I can be found on Eminem's album, Recovery.)

Rihanna's Loud is definitely Loud. It's a good R&B album, and honestly, more albums of today's Pop and R&B should sound like this, making these genres more appreciated. Loud has good tracks, some better than others. (Only 3 can go to the least favorites to listen to.) However, the remaining tracks are good. Rihanna has always been one of the talented female singers in more recent decades. Loud is a good listen. Give it a chance. It's much better than other Hip-Hop and Rap albums in recent decades. Give it a chance, I did. Loud has it's moments. Good moments. Good album.
